Dearest Grandpa
I very recently found out that my great grandfather is suffering kidney failure. That combined with various other health problems (including cancer) have made it so that he likely won't have made it through last night (I have yet to hear back from my family on his current situation). This is what I have to say to him;
My heart and mind go out to you Grandpa, you are by far one of the greatest and most respectable men I have ever had the privilege to know. Thank you ever so much for everything you did for your family and the people around you. We love you and we'll never forget you or the legacy of love you are leaving here within everyone who has ever had the great privilege to meet you.
I apologize that I was not able to come visit you one last time. I had the chance a while ago while still in Utah and I failed to take it- something that I sincerely and deeply regret. I do not know that I will ever see you again in this life, but I want you to know that the influence you've had on me has touched me deeply, and that you will never be forgotten.
Thank you for a wonderful 94 years of love and dedication to the good things of this world and I look forward to seeing you in the next life,
